FAQs

Do you have payment plans available?

Yes, we offer payment plans through Payright and Debit Success. These incur an additional fee (9-12%) which is calculated on the length of the plan. For more information, please contact The Cosmetic Hub.

What are the prerequisites for doing a course in Cosmetic Tattooing?

You will need to complete a Unit of Competency with the code "HLTINF005 - Maintain infection prevention for skin penetration treatments" before beginning your course with The Cosmetic Hub Academy. This can be done through TAFE or another Registered Training Organisation (RTO) that offers this unit.

Is this course accredited? Do I need to do an accredited course to operate as a Cosmetic Tattooist?

Currently, Cosmetic Tattooing is just one unit that is part of a bigger course (Diploma of Beauty Therapy). Therefore, there is no formal qualification available for Cosmetic Tattooing.

Upon completion of your course, The Cosmetic Hub will issue you a 'Certificate of Completion'. However, if you choose to complete all 3 cosmetic tattooing techniques (brows, lips, eyeliner) you will eligible for a "Statement of Attainment" for the full Unit of Competency SHBBSKS003 - Design and Provide Cosmetic Tattooing. Please ask us how we can help you to become a nationally-accredited PMU Artist.

Is there anything else I need to do to start my career as a Cosmetic Tattooist?

We endeavour to make our courses as well-rounded as possible to ensure you have everything you need for a successful start in the PMU industry. However, you need to comply with local council regulations in order to operate as a Cosmetic Tattooist. These regulations are different (but similar) in every state. You can look up this criteria on your local council website and we discuss this as part of your course at The Cosmetic Hub Academy.

Once it's over, it's not over.

The academy is more than skill development, it's the entirety of what being a PMU artist is all about – from the beauty to the business.

As part of the academy, long-term support, education, exclusive opportunities, industry guidance and more will be ongoing.
