Anti Ageing

HIFU

What is HIFU?

High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) is a non-surgical skin tightening and lifting.

HIFU uses ultrasound energy, precisely targeted at specific depths within the skin. The HIFU energy passes through skin surface with no effect (just like a normal ultrasound scan); but where the energy is focused, below the skin surface, it has an intense and precise thermal (heating) effect.

This treatment is 100% non-invasive; no cutting, needles, bright lights or down time.

Please note: not all HIFU machines are the same. There are 2 main types of HIFU machines: Single Linear and Multiple Linear.

Our HIFU treatments apply a uniform matrix of thermal heat dots (Multi Linear)  – this results in a strong uniform matrix of new collagen and elastin; this is the key to achieving lasting visible results!

  • Lifts and firms the chin/jaw area

  • Lifts & tightens the neck area

  • Lifts & tightens the cheeks, eyebrows and Smooths eye area

  • Reduces wrinkles

  • No damage to the surface of the skin

  • No post treatment down time

HIFU GLOW TREATMENT:

In this customised technique we target the epidermis and upper dermis.
As collagen regeneration is stimulated the result is a radiant, more youthful appearance.

This treatment is excellent for:

  • Skin refining; treating fine lines, including lip lines and forehead

  • Skin plumping, toning & smoothing (reduces pore size)

  • Scarring, including acne scarring and stretch marks

  • Pigmentation

When can I see result?

Best visible results are usually seen after 2 to 4 weeks, and treatment can be repeated on-going every 4 to 8 weeks to maintain results depending on age and skin type.

How much does this treatment cost?

A Glow Treatment targets just one area, i.e.:

  • Forehead

  • Browlift

  • Cheeks

  • Jowls

  • Double Chin

  • Neck

  • Decolletage

To target multiple areas of the face, it is more cost effective to book a full face treatment.

HIFU FACE LIFT:

In a HIFU Face Lift, a deeper ‘micro-burn’ (4.5mm - the same depth as a surgical face-lift) is performed, stimulating new collagen formation and causing the facial muscle layer (SMAS) to contract, firm and tighten. As this layer is repaired by the surrounding tissue and muscle, the facial skin is lifted. The on-going repair process has a firming and lifting effect on the skin, and results can last for up to 12 months .

Secondly we target the connective tissue @ 3.0mm stimulating new collagen and elastin synthesis, improving skin texture, reducing wrinkles and firming.

By stimulating BOTH the SMAS layer and the connective tissue, there is a contraction (tightening) in the muscle, and - as a part of the natural wound healing process – new collagen and elastin synthesis in both the SMAS layer and connective tissue of the dermis.

The processes of regeneration take place progressively and gradually, from the deeper tissue towards the skin surface, working naturally to both uplift and rejuvenate the skin.

BODY SCULPTING:

In a HIFU Body Sculpting treatment the ‘micro-burn’ is targeted deep into the fat layers, instantly and permanently melting fat cells. Furthermore, as the tissue is repaired, a new collagen and elastin matrix is created resulting in a firmer, toned and sculpted body shape.

The HIFU is the quickest non-invasive treatment to remove stubborn ‘hard-to-shift’ fat deposits (‘fat pads’) whilst also toning and tightening the skin. With visible results after just one treatment, and NO down-time, HIFU offers a real, natural alternative to liposuction or surgery.

Body areas that can be treated include abdomen, underarms, back fat, buttocks and thighs.

When can I see results?

Results can be seen immediately, however best results are seen after 4 to 6 weeks as the ablated contents of the adipocytes (fat cells) are progressively eliminated by the macrophages and flushed away via the normal circulation and lymphatic systems.
